SCIENCE MODEL WINS NATIONAL ACCLAIM

DLDAV, Pitampura, maintained its tradition of excelling in the National level Science Exhibition with the theme ‘Green Energy’ organized by CBSE. For the fifth consecutive year, the school made it to the national level. The school models ‘Future Vehicle’ and ‘Artifical Heart’ prepared by Rajat Jain, Raunak Kakarya, Joshika and Shreya under the guidance of Dr. Rabinder Nath Kakarya and Dr. Anita Rani received much appreciation and acclaim. The model ‘Future Vehicle’ was selected from among 162 entries from India and abroad and received a cash prize of Rs.3000/- and a certificate of merit. The school Principal, teachers and students received the award from Sh. Kapil Sibal, Minister of Education and Mr. Vineet Joshi, Chairman, CBSE in a glittering award ceremony. Mrs. Nisha Peshin, Director (PS-III), DAVCMC congratulated the school team for bringing honour and glory to the DAV fraternity with their outstanding performance. Shri Shrideep Omcherri, Chairman of the school, expressed elation at the school’s scintillating achievement at national level, setting an example of perseverance, perfection and excellence. Principal, Mrs. Anita Wadehra praised the efforts of both the teachers and students.

ACHIEVEMENT-DAV MODEL UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE 2010

Darbari Lal DAV Model School Pitampura participated in DAV Model United Nations Conference 2010 held on 13th, 14th,15th Nov, 2010 at DAV Public School, Gurgaon. Our School represented Spain with four delegates :

1)Archita Lakhanpal (XII C) in GA
2)Mehak Mehta (XII D) in UNCOPUOS
3)Divya chitkaran (XI A) in IAEA and
4)Joshika Saraf (XI A) in HRC.
Out of a total of about 100 Country Profiles submitted & displayed at the Conference, Our Country Profile for SPAIN has won the‘BEST COUNTRY PROFILE AWARD’ which includes a Shield and a Certificate of Achievement. Our student delegates participated very actively in the three day conference & were very well recognized in their respective committees. They performed under the able guidance of teacher advisors-Ms. Neeta Chhabra & Mrs. Ashok Sharma.
One of our students Kushal Garg of X B participated as Reporter- Global Press & his articles got published in the newsprint issue'TESTI MUNY' which came out daily in the three day conference.
